Amsterdam Investment Club represented at the Grande Finale of the UK Investment Competition 2025 in London with our team ACSL Veterans.

David Draghici, Robert Oros, and Nicolae Darie-Nistor delivered an incredible performance in front of a professional jury and a large audience. A huge congratulations to them for representing us at the highest level.

Seeing how Amsterdam Investment Club has grown and expanded beyond borders is truly special. What started locally is now being carried internationally, and this is only the beginning.

We were proud to be joined by some of our core club members, showing what lies at the heart of AIC: its people. There is no club without its members, and this journey is powered by a growing group of individuals who share the same vision and passion for finance and markets.

We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Luba Schoenig and the entire UMushroom team for making this experience possible, as well as Giorgio Toledo and the team at MCD Capital for the excellent organization. We look forward to building a long-term partnership together.

We are rebranding Sustainable Investment Week to Amsterdam Investment Club Impact!

Together with the University of Amsterdam we set up an amazing week surrounding sustainable investment. From September 15-19, there was a full calendar with events featuring exceptional speakers:

The University of Amsterdam REC Impact Hub is an official hosting partner of this week! At REC Impact, students, researchers, and societal partners work together on innovation and entrepreneurship, perfectly aligned with our vision of making true "Impact"! 🌱

From shareholder engagement strategies to being critical on ESG ratings, these sessions helped clarify what "Sustainability" and making "Impact" truly means. We have now rebranded to Amsterdam Investment Club Impact and will be continuing our mission: to inspire, to be critical, and to be conscious 🌱

What a night we had at our Investors Workshop with Dr. Luba Schoenig, Co-Founder of UMushroom — she came all the way from Switzerland to teach and inspire the next generation of investors.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked sharp questions, and brought such good energy. Hosting this alongside UMushroom and Prometheus Capital was a privilege, and seeing so many of you so engaged made the evening truly memorable.

Dr. Schoenig walked us through how professionals actually value a company, using Amazon as the case study. The core topics we covered:

• 📊 The foundations of financial reporting: how the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statement come together as the starting point for any serious valuation.
• 🌐 The nature of platform businesses: why companies like Amazon, Uber, Airbnb, and Instagram play by different rules, and how network effects become the real engine of value.
• 🛒 Inside Amazon's business model: breaking down its revenue drivers, from retail and third-party sellers to AWS, advertising, and subscriptions, and mapping its major competitors across each segment.
• 💰 The DCF method, direct and reverse: how to estimate fair value from projected cash flows, and how reverse DCF flips the question to reveal what growth the market is already pricing in.
• 📈 Multiples and the PEG ratio: what market ratios tell us about sentiment, and how to judge whether a stock's valuation is reasonable given its growth.
• 🎯 Decoding analyst forecasts: understanding what sits behind target prices, and why combining multiple lenses is key to forming your own view.

The biggest takeaway: DCF is the base, not the full picture. Combine it with multiples, reverse DCF, and a sharp eye on growth, and you stop guessing — you start drawing your own conclusion.
