UMushroom is a next-generation investment platform that empowers students to build and manage their own simulated portfolios in a real-market environment.
As pioneers of the investment competition, UMushroom has run successful editions in Switzerland, the UK, Spain, and other European countries over the past five years, and is now expanding further across Europe with the long-term ambition of becoming the global platform for investments.
Their mission is to spot and shape the next generation of investors, making talent discovery a personal, efficient and inspiring experience for both hiring companies and young talents. The platform serves as the central hub of every competition, providing the complete infrastructure for a gamified learning experience that combines professional tools, theoretical education and practical application in one integrated environment.
Together with UMushroom we are bringing the same model to the Benelux. Rising Investors is the warm-up; the full Benelux Investment Competition kicks off in September 2026.

UK Investment Competition 2025 — London
Last December, Amsterdam Investment Club represented at the Grande Finale of the UK Investment Competition 2025 in London with our team ACSL Veterans. The same model — powered by UMushroom and partner institutions — is exactly what we are now bringing to the Benelux. See the full write-up on our investment events page.
How it works
- Join the Equity Valuation Challenge anytime in May 2026.
- The Challenge ends on Monday 31 August 2026, at market close.
- Scan the QR-Code and sign up to the Group Page "Rising Investors" on UMushroom.
- Build a portfolio with one equity and add it to the Rising Investors challenge portfolio. Don't forget to add the portfolio itself, not just the stock.
- Document your choice and write your valuation arguments.
- Give a target price for your stock of choice based on your valuation.
- The participant whose equity ends closest to their target price at the end of the challenge wins.
- Win a €100 voucher and a podcast spot in the series "Rising Star Investors" as your prize.

Benelux Investment Competition 2026
After the Rising Investors warm-up, we go national. An 8-week investment competition for students from universities and schools across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Manage a virtual portfolio of €100,000, learn from expert-led webinars, and pitch your portfolio to a jury of industry experts. Powered by UMushroom, in partnership with the Amsterdam Investment Club and Prometheus Capital.
